God spoke to Moses about high holy days, days of festival and the Sabbath. God provided Moses with rituals which were to be strictly adhered to and advised that on these specific days, which he listed, there was to be no work performed. God also made provisions for the poor and needy by advising the children of Israel to leave some grain behind especially on the perimeters of their fields for those who were wandering and hungry.
