Details of the flood are contained in this chapter. First Noah sent out a raven to find dry land and it came back, then after waiting sent a dove three separate times each time 7 days later. After the dove stayed away the last time, Noah began to disembark and offered a sacrifice to God. God, when smelling the fragrance of the sacrifice stated:
"As long as the earth lasts, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, Summer and winter, And day and night shall not cease. "verse 22
