So far every chapter I have encountered has many things going on. Jeremy asked for a brief summary of each and sometimes that is hard to accomplish. I have always had a problem being brief anyway - that is probably why my father called me chatterbox, but I will try. :-)

This is the chapter that God made a covenant or a promise to Noah, the symbol of which is the rainbow. Never again would there be enough water to destroy all mankind. God then commanded them to be fertile and to inhabit the earth. He also gave them dominion over the animals.
Noah became a farmer and after tasting a batch of his own wine fell asleep naked in his tent. Noah's sons peopled the earth so each one had fathered their own territory. Ham was the father of Canaan. He walked in on his father and rather than covering him discreetly came outside the tent and told his brothers. Nudity was something that brought dishonor, so his brothers quietly went in the tent with their back to their father and covered him, which is what Ham should have done (covered him quietly).
Now when Noah awoke he learned what Ham, his youngest had and had not done and cursed Canaan and blessed the lands his other two sons presided over. He lived to be 950 years old.
